Large Terracotta Dish
A stunning large bowl handmade from terracotta, high fired underground the traditional way to give its black colour, and then polished with a semi precious stone to give it the shine. Sealed inside so that it can hold water.
A super tactile, versatile and beautiful piece in its own right that would look gorgeous styled upright on a shelf or console table. Also great to use as a serving bowl for pasta dishes and salads for a large crowd. You could even use it as a wok because it's safe for use on the hob and even the bbq!
Size: Approx D 42cm x H 10cm
Material: Terracotta
Care: Before being used for the first time, cookware should be thoroughly cleaned with washing liquid and sponge to remove any residues left after the firing process. Each piece should then be filled three-quarters full with water and placed in the oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees or Gas mark 6. This process seals the cookware, although a complete seal is generally achieved only after used several times.
